چکیده

This paper considers feedforward control of a system which is described by transfer functions with marginally stable inverses. We present three different feedforward control strategies. Two of them relies on an ‘ideal’ design which is derived in the noise-free case, whereas the third is based on Wiener filtering theory. The control strategies are compared and evaluated for different signal models and in the presence of measurement noise. We show that the performance can be substantially improved by using the (optimal) Wiener feedforward controller.

Comparison of two feedforward design methods aiming at accurate trajectory tracking of the end point of a flexible robot arm

This paper discusses the design and properties of two trajectory tracking controllers for linear time-invariant systems, and compares their implementation and experimental results on a flexible one-link robot equipped with a velocity-controlled actuator. High positioning accuracy and low tracking errors within a specified bandwidth are their performance specifications. Both controllers use the ...

Initial blank design of deep drawn orthotropic materials using inverse finite element method

In this work, an inverse finite element formulation was modified for considering material anisotropy in obtaining blank shape and forming severity of deep drawn orthotropic parts. In this procedure, geometry of final part and thickness of initial blank sheet were known. After applying ideal forming formulations between material points of initial blank and final shape, an equation system was obt...

Shape optimization of impingement and film cooling holes on a flat plate using a feedforward ANN and GA

Numerical simulations of a three-dimensional model of impingement and film cooling on a flat plate are presented and validated with the available experimental data. Four different turbulence models were utilized for simulation, in which SST  had the highest precision, resulting in less than 4% maximum error in temperature estimation. A simplified geometry with periodic boundary conditions is de...

Nonlinear inverse models for the control of satellites with flexible structures

Nonlinear inverse dynamic models can be utilized in various parts of advanced model-based control system design: reference trajectory optimization, feedforward control and feedback linearization [35]. In this paper, a new synthesis approach for nonlinear inverse dynamic models of satellites with flexible structures is presented. For satellite configurations with unstable zero dynamics, a stable...

Analysis and Comparison of Three Discrete-Time Feedforward Model-Inverse Control Techniques for Nonminimum-Phase Systems

Noncollocated sensors and actuators, and/or fast sample rates with plants having high relative degree, can lead to nonminimumphase (NMP) discrete-time zero dynamics that complicate the control system design. In this paper, we examine three stable approximate model-inverse feedforward control techniques, the nonminimum-phase zeros ignore (NPZ-Ignore), the zero-phaseerror tracking controller (ZPE...
